UNICEF Korea announced on Wednesday that J-Hope, a member of BTS, has donated KRW 100 million (approximately USD 84,000) to support children affected by the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Known as one of the most charitable idols in the K-Pop industry, J-Hope has been actively supporting various causes and campaigns, often leading the way for the entertainment industry's philanthropic efforts. J-Hope said in a statement that he hopes to "help the children who are experiencing difficulties due to the sudden earthquake and to give them hope" with his donation.
The emergency relief fund for children affected by the earthquake is part of the UNICEF campaign to provide humanitarian aid to those impacted by the natural disaster. UNICEF Korea is aiming to raise a total of USD 5 million to support the emergency relief efforts, and the organization thanked J-Hope for his generous contribution. The donation is expected to be used to provide food, water, shelter, and healthcare services to the affected children and families.
J-Hope has previously supported various philanthropic causes, including children's welfare, education, and animal rights. His consistent contributions and activism have inspired fans both in Korea and around the world to join him in charitable giving. As one of the most influential K-Pop stars, J-Hope's donation and support for the UNICEF campaign are expected to encourage more fans and members of the entertainment industry to participate in humanitarian efforts and make a positive impact on society.
