BTS Jin's "The Astronaut" sets new streaming record on Spotify with over 120 million streams
BTS member Jin has reached a new milestone with his first solo single "The Astronaut," breaking a new streaming record on Spotify. As of February 15th, the song has garnered over 120 million streams on the music platform. Jin's impressive brand power was on full display as the song broke the record of becoming the fastest Korean solo song to reach 100 million streams on Spotify, achieving the feat in just 72 days.
"The Astronaut" received 10 million streams in just three days after its release, making it the third-highest streaming debut for a Korean solo artist on Spotify. The song kept making records, topping 50 million streams in only 22 days, which set a new mark for the quickest Korean male K-pop solo song to accomplish the achievement. Later, Jin broke a number of further records, including 60 million streams in 29 days, 70 million streams in 37 days, and 90 million streams in 57 days.
In addition, Jin's most recent triumph included a 17th-place debut on Spotify's "Global Daily Top Song" chart and a record-breaking 37-day chart debut. In South Korea, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, the song remained at the top of the charts for 109 days in a row.
